Hunt Description Wyoming is famous for big mule deer and often those deer are coming from this part of the state. Region H is made up of a lot of high country with a good amount of wilderness area. These vast areas that are back away from roads and human activity is prime habitat for big muleys. On this hunt an 8-12 mile horse ride puts you right in the middle of that habitat. Once in camp, often a short walk will put you into a place where you can find one of these elusive mountain bucks. This camp was established by the outfitters family over 50 years ago and they have been hunting it ever since. To say they have intimate knowledge of the area is an understatement.
An option for those that are not seeking a horseback hunt in the back country is to book a "town hunt". These hunts are based out of a local hotel where the hunter is picked up each day and returned to each night. This options allows for hunting a lot of different territory. These are good late season hunts when the snow has made accessing the high country camp impossible. Meals and lodging are not included with this option.
