Wyoming Trophy Elk Hunt-Yellowstone Area

* This hunt is for trophy class bulls along the eastern border of Yellowstone National Park.

* Archery hunts take place through the month of September while the rifle occur the first 3-weeks of October. This outfitters camp is set deep int he wilderness so it is not uncommon for the bulls to still be bugling during at least the first week of the rifle hunts.

* Bulls typically score in the 280-320 range with some reaching into the mid to high 300's.

* Tags to hunt this area of Wyoming do require a drawing. One point has historically been sufficient to draw in the special drawing and two will usually be enough to draw in the standard drawing. Points are purchased in July thru September and the permit applications are made in January. Applicants can purchase a point in July and then apply the following January and hunt in September or October.

* Hunters stay in comfortable wall tent camps accessed with a 10-15 mile horse ride.

Cow Hunts
* High success cow hunts are also available with this outfitter. These are migration hunts in November as the elk are transitioning onto the winter range.

* Hunters stay in a local hotel where they will be picked up each morning and dropped off each evening. Tags for this hunt are by drawing, but historically there have been many left over to be purchased first come - first serve in July.
