Texas is the go to location for many exotic species that can be found no where else in the US. These Axis and Scimitar Oryx are descendants from others that escaped from private estate populations. Since their escape, they have established free range breeding populations roaming hundreds of thousands of acres in south/southwestern Texas.

This outfitter has leased multiple ranches that total over 30,000 acres. Ample numbers of Oryx, Axis, Black Buck, and even a few hogs roam these ranches. Populations are so robust that he can claim a 100% success rate on these hunts. A spring hunt can also include up to 2 Rio Grande Turkeys. Package deals can be arranged.

The Scimitar Oryx can be hunted anytime October through June. The Axis will be growing their antlers January through April and a hunt in March will typically produce a buck that is in velvet. By mid-April most will have shed their velvet an most taken will be hard horned.

Hunts are conducted using spot and stalk methods and some feeder stations are used where needed. History has proven that most hunters will have multiple opportunities on their chosen species. Even multi-species hunts have been highly successful.
